Aangan

A dark painted courtyard your guests light up by pulling a rope.

The invitation opens on a haveli courtyard at night, unlit but for a single diya, with a silk rope hanging in the gateway. The guest drags the rope down and the whole aangan catches: lamps, garlands, painted stone, all of it warm at once.

Every screen after that is its own fresco plate in the same hand, from the veranda wall the families are named on to the four nights of the wedding, each one painted in its own tone.

Signature animations

• Drag the rope and the courtyard lights up
• A stone lion that actually pours into its basin
• Four function pages, four painted worlds
• Elephants, garlands and diyas as cut-out layers over the paintings
