The Four Laavan
Four shabads, four slow rounds, one promise. Sung in the darbar hall as the morning light comes in.
Pehli Laav ਪਹਿਲੀ ਲਾਵ
A vow of duty: married life begins anchored in honest, righteous living.
Dooji Laav ਦੂਜੀ ਲਾਵ
A vow of love: fear falls away, and two hearts start to move as one.
Teeji Laav ਤੀਜੀ ਲਾਵ
A vow of detachment: hearts lift beyond the worldly, held by the sangat around them.
Chauthi Laav ਚੌਥੀ ਲਾਵ
A vow of union: harmony and contentment, two lives joined in one journey.

Our Story
It started in the langar hall. It usually does.
The gurdwara
